Uttarakhand: Congress fears political ground slipping due to investors’ inclination – BJP state media in-charge
BJP said that due to the increasing attraction of investors from India and abroad towards Uttarakhand, Congress is afraid of losing its political ground. BJP’s state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan, while countering the statement of former CM Harish Rawat, said that the state’s lands will not be sold through investment, but the state will become prosperous due to industrial progress. Employment opportunities will increase and the state will become a leader in every field.
Chauhan said that there are possibilities in many areas in a state like Uttarakhand and CM Pushkar Singh Dhami went to the investors only after doing complete homework so that the schemes could be put on the ground, but Congress is not able to digest it. BJP has been making continuous efforts regarding investment and it is necessary in the interest of the state, but Congress has always come forward with negative thinking. The stain will always remain on the Congress that the special economic package previously given to the state was snatched away by the Congress led government at the Center and the state leaders and MPs remained spectators in the double engine government. Congress state governments were apathetic in the field of investment and opposed such efforts while in opposition.
Chauhan said that recently, while traditional opponents were seen opposing Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Pithoragarh, some Congress MLAs who were supporters of development also praised the PM’s efforts wholeheartedly. Adi Kailash got recognition on the international stage and huge possibilities were awakened regarding tourism activities in Kumaon region including Jageshwar. At the same time, Congress is not able to digest the development schemes worth more than Rs 1.5 lakh crore being run by the Center in the state. He said that no matter how much negative environment Congress creates, the public knows everything and no longer trusts Congress.
