MP here accused of stealing dog, complaint lodged with police

TMC MP Mahua Moitra and Supreme Court lawyer Jai Anand Dehadrai have now clashed over a dog. Mahua has already been accused of taking bribe and asking questions. Now Mahua has also been accused of dog theft. Advocate Jai Anant Dehdraai has made this allegation against him. Jai was earlier Mahua’s friend. The lawyer says that Mahua kidnapped his dog. Jai Anant Dehdrai has made this allegation by posting on X. He said that Mahua has put pressure on BJP leader Nishikant Dubey to withdraw the CBI complaint by stealing his dog named Henry, which I clearly refused and I will inform the CBI.

This dog is still with Mahua. They want this dog back. Both have accused each other of stealing the dog. Dehadrai has also given a complaint to the Delhi Police Commissioner regarding this. In this he has said that he had bought the dog himself. To buy it, first Rs 10 thousand and then Rs 65 thousand were given. He says that Mahua kidnapped his dog on October 10.

What did Mahua say?

On the other hand, Trinamool MP Mohua Moitra has also responded to the allegations by tweeting. She said that if CBI and Ethics Committee (which has absolute majority of BJP members) call me, I welcome answering their questions. I have neither the time nor the interest to run a media circus trial directed by Adani or to respond to BJP trolls. I am enjoying Durga Puja in Nadia.

What was the MP’s allegation

Let us tell you that on the basis of the letter from lawyer Dehadrai, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had accused Mahua of taking cash in exchange for asking questions in Parliament. He has also mentioned businessman Darshan Hiranandani. He alleges that Mahua asks Hiranandani Group CEO Darshan Hiranandani questions in Parliament ‘by taking cash and expensive gifts’. Nishikant Dubey alleges that out of the 61 questions Mahua recently asked in Parliament, 50 were focused on the Adani issue. The MP has also demanded Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to suspend Mahua Moitra.

Whereas Mahua had termed these allegations as wrong. The Speaker of the Lok Sabha had referred the matter to the Ethics Committee of the Parliament. Mahua says that efforts are being made to tarnish her image. He has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court accusing him of tarnishing his image.
