Uttarakhand: CM Dhami provided appointment letters to 167 Anganwadi and Mini Anganwadi workers of the state after being appointed to the post of supervisor.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, while participating in the program organized at Chief Sevak Sadan, Chief Minister’s residence, Dehradun on Sunday, distributed appointment letters to 167 Anganwadi and Mini Anganwadi workers of the state for being appointed to the post of supervisor. On this occasion, he also launched the online portal of Nanda Gaura Yojana and Chief Minister Mahalaxmi Kit Yojana.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that on the day of Durga Ashtami, 167 Anganwadi and Mini Anganwadi mothers and sisters are getting the privilege of being provided appointment letters for the post of supervisor. He said that Anganwadi workers have an important role in the society. Anganwadi plays an important role in the upbringing of children. Anganwadi workers nurture children like mother Yashoda. The state government is fully committed to strengthening the status of Anganwadi centres. He said that the state government has increased the honorarium of Anganwadi, Mini Anganwadi workers and helpers to empower them.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that against the total 299 posts earmarked for supervisors by selection from the post of Anganwadi, appointments are being given on 167 vacant posts. Also, the honorarium of all Anganwadi workers is being paid online directly into their bank accounts from the state level, amounting to about Rs 24 crore per month. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, an amount of ₹ 9.35 crore has been released to 23895 women in their bank accounts.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that with the inauguration of the portal for monitoring Mahalaxmi Kit Scheme today, necessary clothes and kit materials will be easily available to about 50 thousand lactating women and newborn babies of the state every year. Also, with the inauguration of the Nandagaura Yojana portal, online facility will be available to about 50 thousand girls every year to apply for ₹ 11 thousand on birth and ₹ 51 thousand on passing class 12. This will be an important step of the state government towards digital Uttarakhand.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given approval to Uttarakhand for the construction of 3940 Anganwadi buildings. An amount of ₹ 12 lakh has been earmarked for each Anganwadi center – including MNREGA, Central and State share. In this way, a total amount of ₹ 472 crore will be spent to provide convenient Anganwadi centers for women and children.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the government led by the Prime Minister has worked to empower women in every field. Today, from financial inclusion to social security, quality healthcare to housing, education to entrepreneurship, women are leading the society.
Women and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, historic work has been done in the interest of Anganwadi workers in the state. Everyone’s honorarium has been increased. Today the morale of women has increased in the state. Many policies have been implemented in the state for the welfare of women and to make them self-reliant. The state government is always ready for the development and welfare of women.
