The number of devotees reaching Chardham has crossed 50 lakh. With this, all the records of Chardham Yatra till now were broken. The increase in the number of devotees every year is being seen as the success of the all-weather road and the yatra management of the Pushkar Singh Dhami government. The government is believing that this figure of travelers will play an important role in attracting investors to invest in the tourism sector at the Global Investor Summit in December.

Important contribution of all weather road in Chardham Yatra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken a big and important step for better connectivity in Uttarakhand by laying the foundation stone of All Weather Road on December 27, 2016. The primary objective of this ambitious project is to increase all-weather connectivity to the Char Dhams of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. The completion of this perennial road project will greatly benefit the region and its residents. Its positive results are visible in the form of increase in the number of passengers. This will not only boost trade and tourism but will also strengthen the economic development of Uttarakhand.

CM Dhami took many important steps for the facilities of pilgrims

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took several important steps to improve the facilities for pilgrims. This includes different arrangements from online registration to darshan for the devotees in all the four Dhams. Making a large number of advanced ambulances available for the journey and constituting a special team of doctors helped in facilitating the journey. 50 health ATMs were also installed at Char Dham, which are providing tele-medicine services to the pilgrims.
