All dogs part of Police Service K9 squads
Let us tell you that all the dogs hired by CAPF are part of Police Service K9 (PSK) squads. BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, NSG and Assam Rifles train these dogs.
Dogs detect terrorists
Police dogs are trained for tasks such as detecting explosives such as IEDs and mines, narcotics and counterfeit currency, apart from patrolling and other tasks. The official said that dogs are also sometimes used in search operations to locate terrorists.
