Customs department officials arrested a person at Lucknow airport in Uttar Pradesh. Actually, the passenger who arrived at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport from Dubai had hidden 601.80 grams of gold in his private part. Its price is said to be Rs 36.93 lakh.

This passenger had reached Lucknow airport from Dubai on Monday. Customs department officials became suspicious of him. After which he was checked. But upon checking nothing like this was found with him. Then he got his X-Ray done. Then it was found that there was 601.80 grams of gold paste in his rectum.

The Custom Department has started taking possession of the gold and asking for it. Officials are also surprised at what methods people use for smuggling. Let us tell you, this is not the first case when someone tried to smuggle gold from abroad in this way. Even before this, many such cases have come to light.

Capsules filled with 633 grams of gold recovered in Varanasi

Gold worth Rs 38 lakh has also been recovered from a person coming from UAE at Varanasi Airport. This person was hiding three capsules filled with gold paste in his private part. He was caught during scanning at the airport. Capsules filled with 633 grams of gold were found in his rectum. After this, with the help of doctors, the smuggled goods were taken out. The name of the accused was said to be Sandeep who is a resident of Varanasi. He told the customs officials that he had been cheated by the agent. After this, while leaving Sharjah (UAE), he got trapped in the trap of smugglers.
