If Hezbollah joins Israel-Hamas war… Benjamin Netanyahu warned, there will be devastation beyond imagination
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday again warned against the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah as clashes intensified on the Lebanon-Israel border. “If Hezbollah makes the mistake of getting significantly involved in this war, it will regret it,” he told a news conference.
There is speculation that Iran-backed Hezbollah may try to open a new front in the Israel-Hamas war by carrying out large-scale attacks on northern Israel. Hezbollah has thousands of rockets and missiles as well as various types of drones.
According to ‘Sky News’, Netanyahu says that the terrorist group is becoming desperate for a “second Lebanon war”. He warned that Israel would take action if necessary – and “will wreak havoc against Hezbollah on a scale it has never even imagined.” He said that the group would have to face dire consequences.
Earlier, on October 22, Benjamin Netanyahu had warned Hezbollah not to involve itself in the war. Netanyahu said on Sunday, “If Hezbollah decides to join the war, it will make the biggest mistake it has ever made.”
Lebanon is home to the Shia Muslim political party Hezbollah and its armed wing by the same name. Since the beginning of Israel’s war with the Palestinian extremist organization Hamas, there has been firing from both sides between Israeli soldiers and terrorists. Since the October 7 Hamas attack in southern Israel, Hezbollah has confirmed the killing of 24 of its members.
Lebanon’s extremist organization Hezbollah has already said that it has an ‘important role’ in the war between Israel and Hamas and if Israel starts ground attacks on the Gaza Strip, it will have to pay a heavy price. Hamas has also said that if Israel launches ground attacks in Gaza, Hezbollah will join the war. After Hamas militants attacked cities in southern Israel on October 7, Israel laid siege to the Gaza Strip and carried out several retaliatory airstrikes.
