Jharkhand / Dumka: When a motorcycle collided with a buffalo, an angry mob beat a 16-year-old boy to death

In Dumka, Jharkhand, a case of a 16 year old boy being beaten to death after his bike collided with a buffalo has come to light. Police have registered a case and started searching for the accused. The policemen have assured the villagers that they will catch the accused within two days.

According to the information, the incident took place in Thathi village of Hansdiha police station area. Police said that a 16-year-old boy, resident of Kurmahat, Tola, was returning on a motorcycle with his three friends after watching a football match. During this time, his bike collided with a buffalo on the way. After this incident, the people present there got very angry.

Argument started after the collision

According to Sub-Divisional Police Officer Amod Narayan Singh, soon an argument started between the boys and the people who had come with the herd of buffaloes.  The victim also agreed to pay compensation to the buffalo owner, but four people attacked him.  Police said that the boy was taken to the Community Health Center of Saraiyahat, where he died.

Roads blocked demanding arrest

After the attack by the accused, the boys accompanying the victim ran away.  Police said that a case has been registered and investigation is underway.  Local people blocked the road near the village demanding the arrest of the accused.  However, he calmed down after the police assured him that the accused would be arrested within two days.
