NCERT panel accepted the proposal, now BHARAT will be written in books

A change will soon be seen in the books of NCERT i.e. National Council of Educational Research and Training. In fact, a committee constituted by NCERT had recommended changing INDIA to BHARAT in the books. According to sources, this recommendation has been accepted.

This proposal was made a few months ago
Let us tell you that NCERT Committee recommends replacing India with Bharat in all school textbooks. According to CI Issac, one of the panel members, this proposal was put forward a few months ago. Under the proposal, it has been suggested to replace India with the name Bharat in the textbooks, include classical history instead of ancient history in the curriculum and include Indian knowledge system.

Other members of the committee include ICHR Chairman Raghuvendra Tanwar, Jawaharlal Nehru University Professor Vandana Mishra, former Vice Chancellor of Deccan College Deemed University Vasant Shinde and Mamta Yadav, who teaches sociology in a government school in Haryana. Committee Chairman CI Issac also informed that the NCERT panel has recommended inclusion of Indian Knowledge System in the curriculum of all subjects. Information is being received that it has now been accepted unanimously.
