Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit: 2023 ACS Radha Raturi reviewed the grounding of MoU worth ₹500 crore, gave these instructions for land clearance
Preparations for Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit are in full swing. This mega event is going to happen on 8th and 9th December. In this context, Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi reviewed the grounding of the MOU worth more than Rs 500 crore made for the Investors Summit. During this, he asked to make Garhwal and Kumaon Commissioners nodal for quick clearance of land and housing related matters of investors. Besides, instructions were given to appoint one nodal officer for follow up of each investment project.
Additional Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand, Radha Raturi has instructed to make Garhwal and Kumaon Commissioner as nodal for quick clearance of land and housing related matters of investors. Under this, Garhwal and Kumaon Commissioner will regularly review the land clearance related matters and will give its report to the Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister every 15 days. Along with this, he has issued instructions to make Principal Secretary Forest nodal for matters related to forest and pollution clearance and DIG Fire nodal for fire clearance.
ACS Radha Raturi has also ordered to appoint one nodal officer for follow up of each investment project. These nodal officers will ensure quick clearance of every project in departments at various levels from Patwari level to Secretary level under the MoU signed for Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit. An Investment Tracking Portal workshop will be organized for nodal officers of various departments on 30th November. ACS Raturi said that as per the vision of CM Dhami, all the departments will have to face the challenge of 100 percent grounding of all the MOUs with collective ownership before the Investors Summit.
Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that so far 25 MoUs worth more than Rs 500 crore have been signed between the Uttarakhand government and various companies. In which more than 50 percent of the MOUs have been made in the field of tourism. Therefore, ACS Radha Raturi has instructed the Tourism Department to work more actively on the grounding of projects. He has advised all the departments that every day is very precious for grounding after the signing of MOU on any projects. Therefore, all concerned officers should work on mission mode on grounding of projects by adopting corporate working style instead of government working style.
He has instructed the departments to work with collective ownership instead of working separately for 100% grounding of the MOU. He said that departments will have to end the work culture of working in isolation. Instructions were also given to take decisions on fast track at every level for grounding of investment projects. At the same time, instructions have been given to the Health Department that effective grounding of the MOU done in the health sector will increase the possibilities of developing Uttarakhand as a medical tourism hub.
At the same time, in the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary has instructed the Transport Department to make special efforts to encourage investors showing interest in the field of public transport and electric buses. He said that especially in crowded cities like Dehradun, it is necessary to strengthen the public transport system for a permanent solution to the traffic problem. He has instructed the Transport Department to assess the possibilities of allotment of e-rickshaws only to the residents and women of the state.
