A country that longed for children; Not a single delivery in 3 months, situation of emergency!
Now Italy also seems to be joining the list of countries like China and Japan facing the ravages of old age. The main reason for this is that the wombs of mothers here have started becoming empty. It is being told that in the last few months not a single child was born in the entire country. After this, the situation has become very worrying and Prime Minister Georgia Meloni has taken this problem as a national emergency. However, before this, last year also she had made it an election issue.
The count of children born from January to June of 2023 was less than 3 and a half thousand compared to the first half of 2022
According to a report by English news website Medium, no child has been born anywhere in Italy in the last three months. If we believe the handwriting of Reuters, then the data of National Statistics Bureau ISTAT shows that the child birth rate recorded in the country between January 2023 and June 2023 is less than 3 and a half thousand compared to January 2022 to June 2022, while in the last three months Not a single delivery took place in any hospital in the country.
As far as the reason for this is concerned, there are very few women in the age group of 15 to 49 years in the country. This is an age which is considered most suitable for reproduction. There has been a significant decline in the number of women of this age group in the country in comparison to the last two years, i.e. in 2021. There is another reason behind this, which is very important. Last year in the country, an infant mortality rate of 12 was recorded against the birth rate of 7.
The people of Italy are satisfied with living, the Prime Minister accepted emergency
According to reports, the residents of Italy believe that there is no such thing as life left in this world. Being influenced by this thinking, they do not want to make any contribution in running the cycle of creation. People believe that the living standard of the world has fallen and there is no reason to be happy. The simple meaning of this is that if things continue like this then soon this country will turn into a country of old people.
On the other hand, taking this matter seriously, Prime Minister Georgia Meloni declared it like a national emergency. It is noteworthy that last year Georgia Meloni had taken the country’s declining birth rate as the most prominent issue in her election campaign.
