Jamrani Dam will end the drinking water problem of UP Uttarakhand, CM Dhami expressed his gratitude to PM Modi

The Central Government has given approval for the construction of Jamrani Dam. After which today CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has organized a press conference. Meanwhile, he said that after the construction of Jamrani Dam, the problem of irrigation and drinking water in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand will end. Also, many villages of both the states will be illuminated with lights.

Jamrani Dam project was hanging in limbo since 1975

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Jamrani Dam project was stuck due to approval since 1975. A request was also made to the Jal Shakti Ministry and the PM for this project. After which the path to this project opened. He said that the Government of India has approved Rs 1730.20 crore as 90 percent of the total cost of construction of Jamrani Dam Project under PMKSY.

Drinking water problem will end in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand

10 percent share will be borne under the MoU already signed between Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh governments. Under this project, 42 MCM drinking water facility will be available every year. There is also a provision for producing 63 million units of hydro power. He said that whenever the PM comes to Uttarakhand, it is like a festival for the people of Uttarakhand.

Hemkund Sahib and Kedarnath ropeway work will start

CM said that when PM came to Uttarakhand on December 2, 2021, a request was made for Lakhwad scheme. After which this project was also approved on 30 December. He said that all the schemes which were pending have been approved under the leadership of PM Modi. Also, approval of Rs 1600 crore has been received to make Haldwani as a smart city. The work of Hemkund Sahib and Kedarnath ropeway will also start soon.
