People raid Gaza warehouses for food and water, UN sees the pain of war
The situation in Gaza has worsened due to Israel’s attack. Now it has become difficult for the people here to get food, water, medicine and clothes. Aid materials sent by UN agencies and other countries are also becoming impossible to reach people. At many places, relief materials are lying in warehouses, where people have broken loose like hungry wolves for many days. Seeing such pain of the people, even the United Nations is moved. These scenes are enough to describe the plight of Palestinians in Gaza Strip.
Let us tell you that the United Nations and other countries have sent relief material to Gaza for Palestinian refugees. The UN agency said thousands of people stormed Gaza aid warehouses to collect food and other essential goods. Thomas White, director of the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees in Gaza, said Sunday that the number of casualties was “worrying” and a sign that the situation is worsening after a three-week war between Israel and Gaza’s Hamas rulers. Civil order has started to collapse. This agency is known as UNRWA and provides basic services to millions of people in Gaza. All its schools in the area are packed with Palestinians displaced by the conflict.
Relief material coming from Egyptian border
Egypt has opened its border with Gaza to deliver relief material to war-stricken Palestinians. But there is a problem in delivering the material to the destination due to vehicles running out of fuel in the Gaza Strip. Materials are being stored in warehouses. From there it is distributed among the people.
