Uttarakhand: Our government has done, is doing and will do, Suresh Joshi said – Dhami government is working with determination for development.

Addressing the first press conference held at the party headquarters, state spokesperson Suresh Joshi said, our government is working determinedly under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to achieve the goal set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make Uttarakhand a better and self-reliant Uttarakhand. With the help of the Centre, there have been large-scale improvements in the infrastructure and other necessary systems of the state. The Dhami government has taken revolutionary decisions on the issue of employment and has worked to uproot the mafias that have been rooted in the appointment process for years with the help of the media. The result of which is that in recent years, more than 15 thousand government jobs have been provided to the youth in a fair and transparent manner.

Emphasizing the need for capital investment on a large scale in the state to bring the decade of Uttarakhand, Joshi said, to achieve the big goal of a developed state, our government has also set a big investment target from the Global Investor Summit, Rs 2.5 lakh crore. We all will be happy to know that due to the tireless efforts under the leadership of Chief Minister Dhami, till now we have received investment proposals worth about Rs 69,300 crore. It is a matter of great pleasure that we have been able to obtain the investment MOU, about 30 percent of the target set for the summit, about a month and a quarter in advance. Right now the Chief Minister is to visit the most important industrial cities of the country, Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad for investment. Moreover, the maximum investment is expected to happen during the summit event on December 8-9. He stressed that the confidence of 1.25 crore people of Uttarakhand and the unmatched efforts of Chief Minister Dhami are indicating that we can achieve the target of Rs 2.5 lakh crore set at the summit. Will cross easily.

Joshi said, we have solid reasons to be confident of achieving the target. Because to attract investment from all these meetings, Chief Minister Dhami and his team have made a detailed plan by sitting with experts, experienced policy makers and consultant agencies. This is the reason why investors have become attracted to come to Uttarakhand and invest here. Our focus for investment is the traditional sectors of the state like tourism and hospitality, AYUSH and wellness, film shooting and food processing, automobiles, pharma, renewable energy and information technology. These are the same areas which have immense potential for development.

Today, a big reason for confidence regarding investment is that in the last 7 years, there is a qualitative improvement in rail, road and air connectivity in Uttarakhand. Better connectivity from Delhi and efforts to increase connectivity within the state by construction of railway line and all-weather road from Rishikesh to Karnprayag have become a major attraction for investors.

On this occasion, Joshi expressed immense gratitude to PM Modi on behalf of the people of the state for ending the five-decade long wait of the Terai region with the financial approval of Jamrani Dam Project. He expressed confidence that the day is not far when we will all witness the rejuvenation of the entire area with the construction of this project. Due to the continuous efforts of Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami, the help of Rs 1557 crore from the Center for this ambitious scheme has once again proved that Modi ji is the guardian of Devbhoomi. He assures that it will also be inaugurated in 2028 by Modi ji as Prime Minister. He took a dig at the opposition by saying that the efforts of those who are trying to stall, dangle and divert it for the sake of doing politics have now come to a complete halt forever. Because the then Congress governments did a lot of politics on the demand of experts and local people for this ambitious project which was undecided since 1975, but never made any serious efforts for its construction. People kept agitating but sometimes their intention was not there and sometimes there was no political will. Congress governments never had money for this scheme which has the potential to breathe new life into the development of Terai. During this period, whenever BJP governments came to power in the state, Jamrani’s efforts gained momentum, but as soon as the Congress government came to power, these efforts were completely stopped. He took a dig at Congress that now many people would have got the answer who were finding the gift of Rs 4200 crore for visiting Pithoragarh as less. This has once again made it clear that whether Modi ji is in Uttarakhand or outside, his attachment towards Devbhoomi does not diminish and he always keeps worrying about the development here.

On this occasion, state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is working hard day and night to fulfill the vision set by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami of making the state the best state in every field by the year 2025. And with the hard work of Dhami and the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state is continuously moving forward in this direction. Many development schemes are being implemented in the state under the double engine government. To spread the benefits of these schemes to the people, BJP is organizing a series of press conferences across the state. On this occasion, state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan, state spokesperson Vipin Kainthola, co-media in-charge Rajendra Negi, Satyaveer Chauhan were also prominently present.
