The video of this incident that has surfaced shows how three robbers wearing helmets first enter the shop and then start looting goods from the shop at gunpoint. It is seen in the CCTV video that the three robbers took away a lot of jewelery kept in the counter and one of them enters inside the counter and asks the shopkeeper to take out the goods. Meanwhile, one of his friends is filling all the jewelery in his bag. But meanwhile the shopkeeper’s brother, who is present behind the counter, tries to catch one of the robbers and after a brief scuffle with him, he also catches him. In this entire struggle, two robbers run away but one of them is caught.

Shopkeeper Santosh Baghel, who was victim of this incident, said that at around 4:30 pm on Tuesday evening, he was present at the shop with his son and staff and then three miscreants wearing helmets entered the shop and started looting jewelery at gunpoint. After this, when he tried to run away, his brother caught hold of one of the miscreants, snatched his pistol and pushed him on the ground. However, during this time two other miscreants escaped.

The robber was released from jail just a week ago

On this robbery incident, North East Delhi DCP Joy Tirkey said that as soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and arrested the criminal. He has been identified as Faizan who is a resident of Nand Nagri area. Three cases are already registered against the accused and he was released from jail only a week ago. A pistol with four live cartridges has been recovered from him.
