Uttar Pradesh / Bhadohi: A deranged youth attacked women who were out on morning walk here; One dead, 5 injured
A deranged youth created a ruckus in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday morning. Six people, including four women, who were out for a morning walk were attacked by a deranged youth with bricks, stones and sticks. An elderly woman died and five other people were injured in this incident. Later, the accused entered the police station chasing a person who was running away from him and created ruckus and vandalized vehicles there too.
Elderly woman fell after being hit by a brick, died on the spot
Aurai area police officer (CO) Umeshwar Prabhat Singh said that four women residents of Uprauth village had gone out for a walk in the morning. Then a deranged person named Raja Kumar, 25, resident of Sitamarhi, Bihar, suddenly attacked him with bricks, stones and a stick. He also chased other people present nearby and attacked them. This created chaos on the spot. In this sudden attack, 62-year-old Kalavati Devi fell due to a brick being hit on her head, after which the young man attacked her severely with a stick. In this incident Kalavati died on the spot. During this time, three other women accompanying her also got slightly injured. He somehow saved his life by hiding in the street.
Bikes and vehicles parked in the police station were vandalized
Singh told that Vikshit also attacked persons named Parmanand Maurya and Gautam who were passing by and seriously injured them. When Gautam entered Aurai police station to save his life, Raja Kumar also followed him to the police station and created a ruckus there for about 10 minutes. During this, he vandalized several motorcycles parked in the police station and damaged the glass panes of several vehicles. He told that the police controlled Raja Kumar with great difficulty. A case has been registered against him on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and causing hurt. Singh said that the police has sent the woman’s body for post-mortem. Two other persons seriously injured in the incident have been admitted to the hospital.
