‘Hatred against Muslims is also wrong’, BJP leader’s abusive language on Madrasa-Gurudwara, SGPC lashed out

A BJP leader gave a hate speech at a rally in Tijara, Rajasthan, targeting Muslims and Sikhs. A deadlock has arisen between Sikh bodies and BJP regarding this. Former BJP candidate Sandeep Dayama gave hate speech in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and current BJP candidate from Tijara Mahant Balaknath.

The leader who gave the hate speech has apologized, but the Sikh bodies including the SGPC are not ready to back down.

What did the BJP leader say?

Sandeep Dayma said… “If the Congress candidate wins from this constituency, the number of mosques and Gurudwaras will increase and it will become a problem for the people living here. He threatened that if his party comes to power, They will be uprooted.”

SGPC criticized BJP leader

Following protests from Sikh institutions, Dayma apologized, saying that he wanted to say “mosque and madrassa” and ended up saying “mosque and gurudwara”.

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, the apex body of Sikhs, has also expressed strong objection to Dayma’s apology.

This stand of SGPC on the remarks made against Muslim religion was highly appreciated by the Muslim community.

Demanded apology from CM Yogi

SGPC had earlier demanded an apology from Dayma as well as UP CM Yogi Adityanath, who was present at the rally at the time of the hate speech. Sikh organizations are also protesting in Tijara against Dayma’s remarks.

Battle for tijara

A highly polarized election campaign is being seen in Tijara, especially due to BJP fielding Balaknath, religious polarization is being seen in the elections here. Balaknath has been accused of giving hate speech.

In September, Balaknath had reportedly given a speech in Udaipur. In which he said that Santana Dharma would cut off the heads of “people who spread rebellion”.
