He is not my son, just… On which question of the Supreme Court did Satyendar Jain answer?
During the regular bail hearing of Satyendra Jain in the money laundering case in the Supreme Court, the lawyer said that the trial has not started yet. On this, the investigating agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) said that the accused have repeatedly demanded postponement of the trial. Satyendra Jain’s lawyer said that he was granted bail in the CBI case in 2017. ED registered ECIR on 30 August 2017 and for 5 years ED did not arrest Satyendra Jain. Satyendra Jain was arrested by ED on 30 May 2022. Satyendra Jain’s lawyer said that my client has always cooperated in the investigation and has appeared before the investigating agency 7 times.
Satyendra Jain’s lawyer said that we are not saying that ED could not arrest anyone, but it cannot arrest anyone unless it gives a clear reason for arresting. The Supreme Court asked during the hearing whether Vaibhav and Ankush Jain are your sons. On this, Satyendra’s lawyer said that no, only their surname is the same. Satyendra Jain’s lawyer said that the things said in the charge sheet cannot be considered as divine truth.
During the hearing in the Supreme Court, Satyendar Jain’s lawyer said that my wife had bought shares of the company in 2008, 5 years before the check period. The investigating agency alleges that Calcutta companies bought shares of these 3 companies and returned the money. Vaibhav and Ankush gave money to Calcutta companies to buy these shares, that money belonged to Satyendra Jain. The lawyer said that Satyendra Jain had stepped down from the post of director. His wife Poonam was a director in a company, her stake in the company was very less, the money from these companies went to Vaibhav and Ankush Jain, Satyendra Jain or his wife did not get even a single penny or a single share.
Satyendra Jain’s lawyer said that Vaibhav and Ankush Jain were 70-75% shareholders and directors of the company, but according to ED, Satyendra Jain is the beneficiary and controller of everything. The hearing in Jain’s regular bail case was completed in the Supreme Court on Monday. Hui. Now the next hearing will be held in the Supreme Court on 24th November. The Supreme Court has extended the interim bail of Satyendar Jain till 24 November.
