Uttar Pradesh / Sambhal: When she found a black husband, the wife poured petrol on him and burnt him alive, now the court sentenced him to life imprisonment

A wife felt so bad about her husband’s dark complexion that she burnt him alive. The wife poured petrol on her sleeping husband and set him on fire. Due to this, husband Satyaveer had died. The matter pertains to Kudhfatehgarh police station of Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh. In this case, the district court of Sambhal has sentenced the murderer’s wife Premashree to life imprisonment today i.e. on 7th November. While sentencing the wife, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000.

“She used to call her brother a black-blooded person.”

The incident is of 15 April 2019. The brother of the deceased Satyaveer told that his sister-in-law Premashree was beautiful, but brother Satyaveer’s complexion was dark, hence the sister-in-law did not like him. Sister-in-law used to call brother a black-blooded person in every conversation. For this reason there used to be a fight between the two. When the family members had gone to the fields and Satyaveer was sleeping at home, his wife Premashree poured petrol on him and set him on fire, due to which Satyaveer died due to severe burns. A case was filed against Premshree in Kudhfatehgarh police station on behalf of the deceased’s brother Harveer.

An ambulance was called after screaming

In the complaint, Harveer had termed Premshree alias Nanhi as the accused and said that on the morning of April 15, 2019, he and his father had gone to the field to harvest wheat. Brother Satyaveer was sleeping at home, when Premashree sprinkled petrol on the bedsheet and set it on fire, due to which her brother Satyaveer got badly burnt. After screaming, 108 ambulances were called and taken to the hospital. Satyaveer died at 9:45 pm. After this, case 302 was registered. After all the evidence, today Additional Judge POCSO Act court sentenced Premshree to life imprisonment. Premashree also has a daughter.

Expressed happiness over the court’s decision

After the verdict, the brother of the deceased and the plaintiff in the case, Harveer, expressed happiness over the court’s decision. He said that he has got justice from the court. Harveer and his lawyer also told that the reason behind the fight on the part of Premshree was that Satyaveer was black, which Premshree used to repeat again and again.
