Welcoming all the film personalities, CM Pushkar Dhami said that apart from Dehradun, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand has evergreen rivers like Badri Kedar and Ganga Yamuna.

Uttarakhand is the most beautiful and best destination in the world for film shooting. Beautiful places like Nainital, Mussoorie, Auli, Chakrata, Pithoragarh, Munsiyari, Chopta, Harsil, Valley of Flowers are also in Uttarakhand. He said that in the last few years many new shooting destinations have also developed in Uttarakhand. Now good connectivity and better housing arrangements are also available.

CM Dhami also mentioned PM Modi Modi’s Adi Kailash Yatra. He said that after PM Modi’s visit, the number of tourists is increasing rapidly at high Himalayan places like Jeolikang, Adi Kailash in Uttarakhand. The government is running many schemes in Uttarakhand for film makers and celebrities making web series.

He said that the state government is continuously making efforts to create a better environment for shooting of films or web series in Uttarakhand. He said that under the Film Policy and the new Service Sector Policy, establishment of film cities, film institutes, new shooting studios, new production houses, new post production houses, new cinemas were included for film and media promotion. At the same time, Banshidhar Tiwari, Chief Executive Officer of Uttarakhand Film Development Council, said that if 75 percent of the films are shot in Uttarakhand, subsidy of up to ₹ 1.5 crore will be given for Hindi films, subsidy of up to ₹ 25 lakh for regional films and subsidy of up to ₹ 25 lakh for films made in other languages of the state. Subsidy up to ₹ 15 lakh is being given for films.

Banshidhar Tiwari said that the government is also considering increasing the grant amount for regional films, Hindi and other languages. Along with this, OTT web series, TV and serials, documentaries, short films are also being considered for grant.

At the same time, film director Vivek Agnihotri shared his experiences and said that during film shooting in Uttarakhand, there is better support from the government, police and administration.
