‘I am ashamed, I condemn myself’ CM Nitish apologized when there was uproar over population control comment
CM Nitish reacted to the uproar over the population control statement. He said that we worked for the development of women. We are in favor of women empowerment. If I said something wrong or someone did not understand what I said, then I apologize for it. I feel ashamed, I condemn myself, I congratulate those who condemn me. I withdraw my statement. CM Nitish apologized for the statement in Bihar Assembly. Earlier on Wednesday, as soon as CM Nitish reached the Bihar Assembly, women BJP MLAs surrounded them. Expressing displeasure over the Chief Minister’s statement, he demanded his resignation. On the other hand, as the uproar increased in the Assembly, CM Nitish himself took charge. He said in the Assembly that if I have any objection regarding anything then please sit down and I will clarify. I am ready to apologise, if you sit down please do so.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that education reduces the fertility rate. If anything harsh comes to my mind, I apologize. If I said anything like this regarding this, I apologize. Let’s take these things back. If someone criticizes me, I welcome it. We worked only for the upliftment of women. We did such a big work in Bihar. If something wrong came out of our mouth this time, we apologize for it.
BJP MLAs surrounded CM Nitish
As soon as Nitish Kumar reached the Bihar Assembly campus on Wednesday, he was surrounded by BJP MLAs. There was a lot of sloganeering and uproar. After this, CM Nitish apologized for his statement given in the House on Tuesday. After this, when the Chief Minister reached the House, BJP MLAs raised slogans there. However, the ruling party tried to handle the situation. Despite this the uproar continued.
CM said- I talked about emphasis on education

I had talked about laying emphasis on education regarding population control. If my statement caused pain, I apologize. However, BJP is adamant on the resignation of CM Nitish. Then even in the Assembly, CM Nitish apologized for his statement. The Speaker also reacted when Nitish Kumar clarified his statement in the Assembly.
