Before Diwali, the central government released its share of tax to the states, know that Uttarakhand got Rs 815.71 crore.

The Government of India has transferred the share of GST to all the states as per the normal procedure. Before this, every month the Government of India transfers its share of tax to the states on the 10th. But this time, in view of the Diwali festival, the tax money has been transferred to the states three days before, i.e. on the 8th. The Center has transferred tax of Rs 72 thousand 961.21 crore to all 28 state governments for the month of November. Under this, Rs 815.71 crore has been released to the Uttarakhand government.
According to the statement issued by the Union Finance Ministry, in view of the upcoming festive season, this amount has been released to the states three days before the normal date of November 10. The Finance Ministry also said that with this, the state governments will prove to be better in releasing taxes on time and increasing the celebration of festivals among the people. Among the taxes released, the maximum amount of Rs 13 thousand 88 crore has been released to Uttar Pradesh government, Rs 7 thousand 338 crore to Bihar government and Rs 5 thousand 488 crore to West Bengal.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for sending the share of tax to the state of Uttarakhand on behalf of the Finance Ministry. Also said that before the holy festival of Diwali, the Central Government has released the installment (tax) of Rs 815.71 crore to Uttarakhand. However, this amount will be helpful in the successful implementation of development schemes being run in the state as well as in running new schemes.
