The matter is of Civil Lines area of the metropolis. Majiha Hussain, daughter of Haji Farhat, who lives there, is married to Mohammad Hassan, who lives in Germany. This marriage took place through video conferencing. Relatives of both sides were present in Kanpur. At the same time, Mohammad Hassan present in Germany got married online by saying ‘Qubool hai, Qubool hai’ three times.
Both bride and groom are engineers
Actually, Haji Farhat Hussain, a resident of Empire Estate, had married his daughter to Mohammad Hassan, son of Mohammad Munir, a professor at Aligarh Muslim University. Relatives of the bride and groom were present at the Empire Estate Mosque located in Civil Lines. Whereas the groom Mohammad Hassan was present in Germany.
The bride Majiha is an engineer. Meanwhile, Hassan is a software engineer in Germany. Both knew each other since childhood. His family is also quite prosperous and educated. The Nikah ceremony was completed with utmost simplicity. Hassan’s parents had reached Kanpur from Aligarh. Here, Majiha and her parents had attended the marriage in Kanpur. Mufti/Qazi Iqbal, who conducted the marriage, was also present. The marriage was already scheduled to take place on 5th November.
Family members told that they had applied for a visa to go to Germany but could not get the visa on time. On the other hand, Hassan was not even able to get leave. Therefore, to complete the marriage on time, online marriage was planned.
Mufti Iqbal says on this marriage that there is no harm in it. Times have changed. If we can do business, conversation etc. through internet then why not relationships. At the same time, the family members said that we had planned the marriage simply. There was to be no ostentation and wasteful expenditure.
