The flag of the 38th National Games to be held next year was handed over to Uttarakhand, Rekha Arya told that it is a historic moment

The 37th National Games going on in Goa has ended. Now next year the 38th National Games will be held in Uttarakhand. The flag of the 38th National Games was handed over to Uttarakhand Sports Minister Rekha Arya. On this occasion, Uttarakhand Sports Department team was also present along with Rekha Arya in Goa.

Sports Minister Rekha Arya herself received the flag of the National Games and the hosting of the 38th National Games from Goa in the presence of the Olympic Association of India. Overall, a big responsibility has been given for the National Games to be held in Uttarakhand next year. Uttarakhand is also busy preparing for the National Games.

Flag of 38th National Games handed over to Uttarakhand: However, if we talk about the performance of Uttarakhand in the 37th National Games held in Goa this year, Uttarakhand had got 26th rank in the 36th National Games held in Gujarat last year. There has been some improvement in that. Uttarakhand has secured 25th rank in the 37th National Games held in Goa this year.

Even though Uttarakhand has not achieved much in the rank table of the National Games, but if we talk about gold medals, last year Uttarakhand had received a total of 18 medals including one gold medal. This time, increasing the gold medal tally, Uttarakhand has won a total of 24 medals including 3 gold medals.

Uttarakhand stood 25th in the 37th National Games

Similarly, in the National Games held in Gujarat last year, Uttarakhand’s rank was 26th. This time Uttarakhand got 25th rank. It is worth noting that a total of 43 sports were organized in the National Games. Out of this, Uttarakhand excelled in only 14 disciplines. This is the reason why Uttarakhand had achieved 18th rank by defeating many states including Gujarat, host Goa and neighboring state Himachal. But later, due to Uttarakhand’s lack of participation in games held in other disciplines, Uttarakhand started slipping down in the rank table. In the end Uttarakhand had to be satisfied with 25th rank.

Uttarakhand’s hopes from 38th National Games

Overall, Uttarakhand had participated in only 14 disciplines in the National Games. Out of these, Uttarakhand got medals in 10 disciplines. A total of 43 types of sports are organized in the National Games. In this way Uttarakhand has performed better with limited resources and limited players. It is natural that in the National Games to be held in Uttarakhand next year, players from Uttarakhand state will have talent in more and more disciplines and it is expected that Uttarakhand will get a better rank. Along with this, you will also get the benefit of your home ground.
