Saudi Arabia became Israel’s ‘helper’ in OIC meeting, saved with great difficulty
In the Arab-Islamic summit, all the countries have sought to put pressure on Israel to end the Gaza war. A proposal to break all relations with Israel was also brought in the meeting. However this proposal could not be passed. The countries attending today’s Arab League and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting in Riyadh had demanded to include some new things in the proposal. There was also a demand to break all relations with Israel. This was rejected by Israel’s Arab peace partner countries and some other countries.
The additional demands put forward in the meeting are – stopping the transfer of military equipment to Israel from American bases located in West Asia, breaking all diplomatic-economic relations with Israel, banning Israeli flights in the airspace of Arab states. and sending a joint delegation to the US, Europe and Russia to press for an armistice. According to Channel 12 report, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, Morocco, Mauritania, Djibouti, Jordan and Egypt rejected these demands. Due to which Israel was saved from these very stringent sanctions.
Saudi condemned Israeli attacks
This OIC meeting was inaugurated by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and he clearly said that Israel is responsible for the Gaza conflict. He criticized Western countries for remaining silent on violence against Palestinians and called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi appeared to be the toughest on Israel in the meeting. Raisi said that the attack on Gaza is the biggest crime in history. For this there must be opposition to Israel. Israel’s oil supply from Islamic countries should be stopped. Raisi lashed out at America and said that Israel is America’s illegitimate child. The US has deployed naval fleets in the region. He is directly involved in the crimes being committed against the people of Gaza.
At the meeting, Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas clearly stated that he would not accept any military solution in Gaza.
