Bihari Mahasabha prayed to Chhath Mata for the safety of 41 laborers trapped in Uttarkashi Tunnel.

This is how we worship today
The third day of Chhath festival is known as Sandhya Arghya. It is celebrated on the Shashti Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra or Kartik month. On this day, preparations for Arghya start from morning. For puja, people make prasad like thekua, rice laddus. For Chhath Puja, a basket made of bamboo is taken, in which puja offerings, fruits, flowers, etc. are nicely decorated. Coconut and five types of fruits are kept in a soup.
Importance of the third day of Chhath Puja
The third day of Chhath Mahaparva is celebrated on the Shashti Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. This is the most important day of Chhath Puja. On this day in the evening, people wear new clothes and come to the ghat with their families and offer Arghya to the setting sun. Women offer milk and water to the Sun God and pray for the long life of their children.
How to offer Arghya to Sun God?
In Chhath Puja, worshiping Sun God and offering Arghya to him has special significance.
On this day, keep all the worship material in a bamboo basket.
After entering the river, pond or water, first of all mentally pay obeisance to Sun God and Chhathi Maiya.

While offering Arghya to the Sun, chant this mantra “Ehi Surya Sahastraansho Tejorashe Jagatpate, Anukampaya Maa Devi Grihanarghyam Diwakar”.
