IND vs AUS Final: India bundled out for 240, batsmen’s performance was disappointing

The final match of World Cup 2023 is being played between Australia and India. This match for the trophy between the two teams is being held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Let us tell you that both the teams are facing each other in the final after 20 years. In the year 2003, the Indian team lost to Australia. In such a situation, today Team India would like to avenge that defeat.

India had a bad start (IND vs AUS Final)
Australia’s Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bowl first. After which the Indian team batting first did not have a good start. The top order failed to survive.

In the final against Australia, captain Rohit Sharma came to open with Shubman Gill. After which Team India’s first wicket fell in the fifth over itself. Shubman Gill was out after scoring 30 runs. Shubman could not show his magic in the final.

The batsmen disappointed
The second blow came to India in the form of Rohit Sharma. Rohit was out on the ball of Glenn Maxwell in the 10th over. Travis Head took the catch of the Indian captain. Rohit was out after scoring 47 runs on 31 balls.

After which India’s Shreyas Iyer came to bat. Cummins showed Shreyas the way to the pavilion in the 11th over. Iyer was out after scoring four runs in three balls. Shreyas Iyer also had a disappointing performance in the World Cup final.

Kohli scored a half century
After the fall of three wickets, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul played steadily at the crease. Virat Kohli scored a half-century in the World Cup final. This was Kohli’s 72nd half-century in ODIs.

The partnership between the two players was blossoming when King Kohli was out. He was clean bowled by Pat Cummins in the 29th over. Kohli scored 54 runs in 63 balls with the help of four fours.

Half century also came from Rahul’s bat
Where the batsmen were not able to play sustainably. After Kohli, KL Rahul also scored a half-century. After the half-century, a big innings was expected from Rahul but he too was out after scoring 66 runs off the bowling of Starc. There was a flurry of wickets one after the other.

Where Ravindra Jadeja scored nine, Surya Kumar 18, Shami six, Bumrah one, Kuldeep returned to the pavilion after scoring six runs. India was all out after scoring 240 runs in 50 overs. India has given a target of 241 runs to Australia. Now it remains to be seen who will take this World Cup trophy.

Australia’s Starc took three wickets
For Australia, Starc took the maximum of three wickets for 55 runs. Hazlewood took two wickets, Australian captain Pete Cummins took two wickets, Gempa and Maxwell took one wicket each.
