Bihar / Lakhisarai: Act of an eccentric lover, 6 people of the same family returning after offering Arghya during Chhath Puja were shot, 2 died
In Lakhisarai district of Bihar, criminals committed a major crime on Monday morning. The incident took place in Punjabi Mohalla of Kavaiya police station area, where criminals ambushed and shot 6 members of the same family. Two siblings died during treatment, while four have been referred to Patna for better treatment in critical condition. Among the referred patients, the condition of two remains critical.
After receiving information about the incident, DM Amarendra Kumar, SP Pankaj Kumar, SDO Nishant Kumar reached Sadar Hospital and took information about the incident. The deceased include Shashibhushan Jha’s son Chandan Kumar and Rajnandan Kumar. While the injured include Preeti Jha, Lovely Jha, Durga Kumari and Shashibhushan Jha. According to the information, the condition of the injured, Preeti Jha, Lovely Jha and Durga Kumari, is critical.
The incident has been blamed on the neighbor Ashish alias Chhotu. SP Pankaj Kumar told that Ashish Kumar of Punjabi Mohalla has committed this incident in a love affair. Police have started raids for his arrest. The family members say that everyone was returning from Chhath Ghat. Meanwhile, Ashish, who was ambushed from the east, fired indiscriminately and injured everyone, out of which two died during treatment. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after the incident.
