Uttarakhand: ACS gave these instructions regarding the ‘6th International Congress on Disaster Management’ to be held in Dehradun from 28 November to 1 December 2023.
A meeting was organized under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi in the Secretariat on Monday regarding the ‘6th International Congress on Disaster Management’ to be held in Dehradun from 28 November to 1 December 2023. In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary said that as per the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, all preparations for this international event should be completed in time. All the departments have to take ownership and make this event successful. He said that this event has great importance from the point of view of Uttarakhand, hence there should be no lack in preparations.
It was told in the meeting that all the programs of the Congress to be held from November 28 will be organized in Graphic Era University. There will be a total of 70 sessions in this four-day seminar in which international and national level speakers will present their views. Additional Chief Secretary said that all the departments should work with better coordination. He said that immediately after this, Global Investors Summit is also going to be held in Dehradun in the month of December. In such a situation, this event is also very important as its rehearsal.
Additional Chief Secretary instructed the officers in the meeting that national and international level dignitaries are coming to the meeting and all the necessary arrangements should be completed on time. It was told in the meeting that about 600 delegates will participate in this Congress, hence arrangements for their stay and other arrangements have been made.
The Additional Chief Secretary directed in the meeting that fire safety audit should be conducted at Graphic Era and all the hotels where the delegates will stay. The Health Department was directed to complete the arrangements for ambulance and medical team on the day of the event. It was told in the meeting that cultural programs will also be organized in the evening on the first two days of the four-day event. Apart from this, one day foreign guests will also be taken to Rishikesh for Ganga Aarti.
In the meeting, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Disaster Management Secretary Ranjit Sinha, Additional Director General of Police Law and Order AP Anshuman, Director General of U-COST Prof. Durgesh Pant, DIG Rajkumar Negi, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era University Dr. Narpinder Singh etc. officers were present.
