Uttarakhand: Bhatt clarified on the delay in civic elections, called Congress anti-OBC, made these allegations…

BJP hit back at the allegations of delay in civic elections and said, Congress is anti-OBC and does not want them to get rights in the civic bodies. State President Mahendra Bhatt has strongly criticized the Congress’s rhetoric of being behind the process of civic elections. He said, everyone knows that there are clear instructions from the Supreme Court regarding giving representation to OBCs in elections. Respecting this constitutional obligation, the government has formed a one-member commission which is preparing its report on this important subject. As soon as this report comes out, reservation will be decided in all the bodies in view of it. On the other hand, due to the formation of new bodies and expansion in the limits of the bodies, the work of preparing the voter list is going on. As far as BJP is concerned, we are fully prepared for the elections, just waiting for the announcement of the Election Commission.
He alleged that Congress also knew very well the truth of the constitutional obligation. But Congress has always been anti-OBC and it does not want the OBC community to get their rights in civic elections. Otherwise, Congress, which never conducts civic elections on time even under normal circumstances during its rule, would not have made such statements. He sarcastically said that whether elections are held now or after some time, nothing is going to happen to Congress and the public has made up its mind to vote record in favor of BJP. Because the BJP government always remains among the people through its public welfare schemes and works and the party organization through its activism.
