A massive fire broke out in a scrap warehouse located in Pithoragarh city area. Within no time the fire took a huge form. It is being told that the fire brigade team brought the fire under control after 16 hours.

A massive fire broke out in a junk warehouse
The incident is being reported behind Basera Hospital on Cantt Road late on Sunday evening. Suddenly a massive fire broke out in the scrap warehouse. After receiving the information, the fire rescue team led by in-charge fire officer Narendra Prasad immediately reached the spot and started trying to control the fire.

Fire brought under control after 16 hours
According to the information, rescue work was carried out through water tender throughout the night. In which about 40-45 vehicles of water were pumped. In this, water tankers were also made available from the Army and Jal Sansthan. Due to the poisonous smoke spread from the fire, people in the surrounding area had trouble breathing.

Warehouse burnt down
According to the information, Area Officer Narendra Pant reached the spot and took stock of the rescue work. According to the police, the scrap warehouse was completely burnt to ashes in this incident. It is fortunate that there was no loss of life due to the fire. At present the loss has not been assessed. The cause of the fire has not been known yet.
