The accident took place on Suvakhuli Uttarkashi motor road. It is being told that the girl was going from Dehradun to Uttarkashi. Eyewitnesses said that the girl bought petrol and matchsticks from Bhawan Bazaar. After this he traveled one kilometer on the scooter. Suddenly the girl stopped the scooter, poured petrol on herself and set her on fire.

Passers-by took the girl to Thatur Community Health Center with the help of an ambulance. But by then the girl had died. Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident.
