Uttarakhand: Eight days left for CM’s deadline, still the condition of Doon’s roads is not good

CM Dhami yesterday instructed all the officials to make the roads pothole free. There are eight days left in the deadline given by CM Dhami. But the condition of roads in the capital Doon is not good.

Eight days left for CM’s deadline
On Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting and gave instructions to the officials to repair the roads by giving them an ultimatum till November 30. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also given instructions to maintain good arrangements of dividers, reflectors and signage lighting on the roads.

Along with this, it has been said that Public Works Department and Circle Officer should go to the roads and do on-site inspection. There is only 8 days time to meet the deadline set by the Chief Minister. But the condition of the roads in the capital is not good.

Road work still incomplete in Doon
The condition of roads in the capital Doon does not look good. At some places there are potholes on the roads and at some places goods are still lying there. Due to which people are facing problems every day. Due to incomplete work on the roads, people are facing a lot of problems in transportation.

It may take more time to complete the work
People say that it may take till January or more to complete the road works. After the deadline given by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, local people also say that looking at the way the road works are being done, it does not seem that these works can be completed in the month of November.

Congress made allegations
Congress is alleging that the investor summit is to be held in December. It is for this reason that there is talk of expediting the work of repairing the roads. Whereas the condition of roads in many places in the state has been bad for a long time. Due to which many major accidents have taken place in the state. But the state government does not seem serious about this.
