Big announcement by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, said- Ethanol pumps will be started across the country soon

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that ethanol pumps will also be started in the country soon. During the inauguration of Agro Vision Exhibition in Nagpur, Gadkari said that these ethanol pumps will be installed only at petrol pumps in the country. Speaking on the problem of prices of farmers’ produce, the Union Minister said, ‘Our problem is that cotton is cheap and cloth is expensive, oranges are cheap and orange juice is expensive, potatoes are cheap and chips are expensive. Farmers do not get the price. Edible oil worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore is imported into our country.
‘Farmer’s son will drive car running on ethanol’
Gadkari said that ethanol pumps will also be started soon at the petrol pumps of Indian Oil of the Government of India. He said that the sons of farmers will drive motorcycles, auto rickshaws and cars running not on petrol but on ethanol. The Union Minister said that Baba Ramdev has set up a big orange unit in Nagpur which will start operating in 2-3 months. He said that in this unit, juice will be produced from small oranges which will give good price to the orange producing farmers. Let us tell you that Gadkari had recently said that the government is working on the policy of making the National Highway pothole-free by the end of this year.
‘A policy is being made to make the National Highway pothole free’
The Union Minister had said that in view of the possibility of damage to the highways and formation of potholes due to rain, the Ministry is conducting a safety audit of all the National Highways. Gadkari had said, ‘A policy is being made to ensure that national highways are free from potholes. Young engineers will be taken on board to make this project successful.’ On this occasion, Road Transport and Highways Secretary Anurag Jain had said that the ministry has mapped the entire 1,46,000 km long national highway network and by December this year. Performance-based maintenance and short-term maintenance contracts are being strengthened for removal of potholes.
