It was told that the agreement for the release of Palestinian citizens held in Israeli jails in exchange for the people held hostage by Hamas could not be implemented at the last moment. Due to this the ceasefire was delayed by one day. According to Israeli military data, Hamas is holding 239 people hostage in Gaza, including foreign nationals from 26 countries.
