Jio made a big contribution in evacuating 41 laborers from the tunnel, laid 100mbps line in record time

The work of rescuing 41 workers trapped in the under-construction Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand has been going on for the last 13 days. Prayers are being offered for these lives across the country. Rescue work is going on rapidly in the tunnel. But, the part of Uttarakhand where Operation Zindagi is being run. Mobile and data connectivity was a big challenge there, which was completed by Jio network in record time. Jio’s mobile network is not only providing continuous help to the rescue team, but contacts within the country and abroad are being easily established from here.

Many agencies and organizations across the country are working to reach the workers trapped in the tunnel of Uttarkashi and get them out safely. Jio network is making important contribution in this important work. Jio established mobile network near the tunnel in Uttarkashi and played an important role in the rescue work.

Connectivity was a major need in this difficult time of rescue. As soon as the need to provide mobile connectivity from Jio was put forward by the administration and government, for the first time, Jio, fulfilling its social responsibility, provided 100mbps leased line for mobile connectivity and data so quickly.

This area of Uttarakhand is in the extreme north of the state and it takes 8 hours from Dehradun to reach here. Nevertheless, after the tunnel collapse, Jio Network was the first to prepare mobile and data connectivity and is continuously helping the Jio Network Rescue Team.
