A unique case of love and marriage has come to light in Andhra Pradesh. A middle-aged teacher married a minor student, after which the teacher has been arrested. According to the information, the teacher is married and is the father of two daughters. He was so overcome with love that he married the student. The age of the teacher is said to be 46 years and he is reportedly married to his 15-year-old minor student. According to the information given by the police, the accused teaches Hindi at Yandagani Zilla Parishad High School near Bhimavaram in West Godavari district.
It is being said that the teacher allegedly lured the student into friendship and then love and then married her. In the official statement issued by the police, it has been said that the name of the teacher is Somraju and he first lured the minor student into the trap of love and then the love affair was going on between the two for the last four months. The teacher had also given his smartphone to the minor student, so that she could talk to him. Both of them kept talking and then recently, the teacher kidnapped the girl from her house and then took her to his house. The teacher took her home and married her.
Somaraju married a student and then took her hostage
Allegedly, on November 19, he had eloped with the girl and then molested her after marrying her. Not only this, Somraju forcibly kept him hostage for a few days. The girl became upset with the teacher’s actions and one day, finding a chance, she escaped from his clutches and returned to her home. After reaching home, the girl narrated the entire incident to her family, after which the victim’s family filed a police case against the accused teacher.
Police arrested the teacher
Police have arrested the accused teacher Somraju. Somaraju told that his wife had left him seven years ago and he had two daughters. Police have registered a case against Somraju under sections 376, 342 and 506 of the IPC. He has also been booked under Section 5-6 of POCSO and Section 9 of the Child Marriage Act.
