At the same time, the Hamas-led Health Ministry said that Israeli soldiers killed six Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank on Saturday. The ministry further said a 25-year-old doctor was killed outside his home in Qabatiya, near Jenin, a stronghold of Palestinian armed groups in the north of the territory.
Israeli forces are present in large numbers in Jenin
At the same time, eyewitnesses present at the scene told the news agency AFP on Saturday that Israeli forces were surrounding Jenin’s public hospital and Ibn Sina Clinic and some soldiers were searching ambulances. The Health Ministry said that the Israeli army had infiltrated Jenin with a large number of armored vehicles and four people were killed in the firing.
230 Palestinians killed so far in West Bank: Health Ministry
According to Israeli officials, there has been a continuous increase in violence in the West Bank since the cross-border attacks on Israel by Hamas on October 7 last month. At the same time, 15,000 people have been killed so far in Israel’s retaliation, mostly civilians. Here, the Palestinian Health Ministry said that about 230 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli residents and soldiers in the West Bank.
