One person injured in the attack
Russian air defenses have shot down 20 Ukrainian drones over Russian territories, including Moscow, the Defense Ministry said on Sunday. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said several drones heading towards the Russian capital had been destroyed. Russia’s Defense Ministry said Ukrainian drones were shot down in areas including Moscow, Tula, Kaluga and Bryansk. One person was injured in Tula, the region’s governor, Alexei Dyumin, said.
Many flights were canceled
“An attempted large-scale drone strike was carried out overnight,” Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said. Russian officials said Ukrainian drones were shot down in several areas of the Moscow region. Kommersant newspaper said flights at Moscow’s main airports were delayed or canceled due to the drone attack.
Crimea destroyed 16 Ukrainian drones
Even a day earlier, Ukraine tried to retaliate against Russia. Actually, Ukraine carried out several drone attacks, but the Russian defense system shot down 16 Ukrainian drones over Crimea. This was confirmed by the Russian Defense Ministry.
Focus changed after failure on Kiev
Actually, at the beginning of the war, Russia’s focus was on Kiev, but now Ukraine has strengthened its hold there, after which the Russian army has focused on the east.
