Uttarakhand: Administration busy in preparations for Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit, instructions to officials to complete the work on time

Global Investors Summit is going to be held in the capital on 8th and 9th December, preparations for which are going on. In this sequence, District Magistrate Sonika reached the venue FRI and inspected the preparations for the Global Investor Summit and took stock of the work progress. He also directed the officials to complete the work on time and facilitate the industrial and VIP routes participating in the Investors Summit.

About 400 industrialists will be present during the investor conference in Dehradun. Arrangements for their stay have been made in renowned hotels. A help desk has been set up in the hotel for guests and industrialists. The list of their guests is being provided to all the officials. Also, to ensure that there is no stone unturned in providing hospitality to the industrialists coming to the investor conference, IAS and PCS officers are being deployed as liaison officers along with the group of prominent industrialists.

Let us tell you that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has put all his efforts to ensure that investors come to Uttarakhand in maximum numbers. Every district is making efforts for maximum investment in its area. In this sequence, till now MoUs have been signed for investment of Rs 15,000 crore in Dehradun, while MoUs have been signed for investment of Rs 21,000 crore in Haridwar. Selected officers have been deployed to transport the guests from the airport to the hotel and venue. The administration has formed a panel of special officers, who will stay with the special guests 24 hours.

The administration is continuously working on war footing to prepare for the Global Investors Summit. PWD is also busy in preparations. Preparations for the Investors Summit were going on about 2 months ago. In which 7 routes were identified by the administration, which were to reach FRI, the venue of the Investors Summit. In all these routes, except Chakrata Road, work has been completed by PWD on almost all the routes.

PWD Secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey said that no excavation or new work is being started by PWD. Almost all the work has been completed. The painting work on the divider is still going on. In which PWD is also getting the support of Municipal Corporation and MDDA. However, instructions have been given by the Chief Minister that all this work should also be completed before time.
