Uttarakhand: Plasma cutter from Hyderabad is working fast, will you get success in a few hours? Listen what the CM said?

Plasma cutter machine has been brought from Hyderabad to cut the auger machine stuck in the debris of Silkyara tunnel. To save 41 workers, work has started with the help of plasma cutter on Sunday morning.

The plasma cutter machine was brought to Silkyara in the early hours of Sunday. The process of removing the auger machine was still going on before this new machine arrived at the scene.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “The plasma machine brought from Hyderabad has started working. Harvesting is going on rapidly. Now a total distance of 14 meters is left which will be completed in the next few hours. After that manual drilling work will start.”

Work pending yesterday

Let us tell you that there has been no movement in the last 24 hours in the drilling work being done to rescue 41 laborers trapped in the Uttarkashi tunnel for 13 days. According to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) member Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain, a part of the American auger machine was broken, blocking the work.

BSNL made landline service available

In order to provide assurance to the 41 laborers trapped in the tunnel and to relieve their stress, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has provided them a landline service through which they can talk to their families.

Mobile phones sent to laborers

The NDMA member said that BSNL has set up a small telephone exchange at the spot and the phone is connected through a line. A senior officer involved in the rescue operation said that some mobile phones have also been sent to the stranded workers so that they can play games and stay away from stress.

According to the official, there is no mobile network in the vicinity but they are also considering providing Wi-Fi connectivity. At the same time, consideration is also being given to providing cricket bats and balls to the workers so that they can pass their time by playing cricket.
