Uttarakhand: Rain and snowfall for next three days, one officer and soldier injured in rescue operation
41 workers trapped in the under construction tunnel of Uttarkashi since the day of Diwali are hopeful of coming out. All efforts are being made to take them out but every time the machine is facing obstacles. Today is the 15th day of rescue. Plasma cutter has been brought from Hyderabad. BRO officer’s vehicle collides with bus
The vehicle of a BRO officer engaged in the Silkyara rescue operation collided with a bus. A soldier including an officer were injured in the accident. Injured BRO Commander RS Rao and the jawan were given first aid.

The ongoing rescue operation in Uttarkashi may now face a big challenge. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the next three days. There are chances of rain and snowfall in many high altitude areas including Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh. In such a situation, it will also affect the ongoing relief work in Silkyara Tunnel.
