Uttarakhand / Dehradun: The agenda of the last board meeting of Dehradun Municipal Corporation is ready, roads and squares will be named after the martyrs

The tenure of municipal bodies in Uttarakhand is ending on 2 December. In view of this, Dehradun Municipal Corporation is going to convene its last board meeting on 30th November under the chairmanship of Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama. 12 proposals will be discussed in the board meeting to be held on November 30.

In the last board meeting, a farewell ceremony of the executive of Dehradun Municipal Corporation will also be organized, in which MPs and MLAs of the Municipal Corporation area will also be invited. Preparations for the final board meeting in the Municipal Corporation have been started and the agenda of the meeting has been prepared by the Municipal Corporation.

Proposal to name a road or park after agitator late Sushila Baluni and install a statue on the agenda in the board meeting is included. Apart from this, approval may also be given to give exemption in building tax to Uttarakhand agitators. Apart from this, Lansdowne Chowk, Survey Chowk, Fountain Chowk and number six Pulia Chowk should be named after Lord Parshuram and Silver City Tiraha should be named after Lord Parshuram along with naming the park and square after Padmashree Awadhesh Kaushal, there is also a proposal to name the park and square after late Harbans Kapoor also included.

Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama said that 12 proposals will be discussed in the agenda of the last Municipal Corporation board meeting to be held on November 30, which includes proposals to name most of the roads and squares after the martyrs. Besides, the farewell ceremony of the Municipal Corporation Executive will also be organized during the last Municipal Corporation Board meeting.
