Uttarakhand: Karan Mahara raised questions on the Silkyara Tunnel issue, said- Government ignored the experience of experts.

Congress State President Karan Mahara organized a press conference at the Congress State Headquarters today. Meanwhile, regarding the Silkyara Tunnel issue of Uttarkashi, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said something for the first time after 17 days regarding the Uttarkashi Tunnel accident, because BJP has expertise in creating events on every issue. He said that this shows that the event is ripe and there are indications that some good news may come from Uttarkashi today.

Adani Group told the Silkyara Tunnel Project

Congress State President Karan Mahara, citing media reports, has described the tunnel project as that of Adani Group. He said that experts like PC Navani, KS Valdiya have long experience of working in the Himalayan region. Expert PC Navani has the experience of building a 20 kilometer long tunnel in the Tehri Dam Project. This tunnel was built under the supervision of Navani. He has also expressed his concerns from time to time regarding the Lesser Himalayan region, but the government never took cognizance of it.

Accused of ignoring experts

Expert S Valdiya has also mentioned in his book what kind of problems can arise in the Himalayan region, but despite this the government ignored the experiences of these experts. Apart from this, Mahara also alleged that NGT was completely absent in the tunnel project. He said that it has been 17 days since the workers were trapped in the tunnel, but till now the government has not taken any action against the concerned officials or the company. Due to which the BJP organization and the government are continuously trying to avoid it. Safety measures have also not been taken into account in the tunnel under construction, which is a big negligence on the part of the government.
