Two days ago, a dead body of a girl was found in a suspicious condition in a home stay located in Kaphalon village of Sangamchatti. The family members and villagers of the deceased girl created a ruckus outside the hospital, fearing murder. Two days later, after the assurance of SIT investigation, the family performed the last rites of the girl.

On Sunday, local MLA, Deputy District Magistrate and SP Uttarkashi Aparna Yaduvanshi assured the girl’s family of an SIT investigation, only then the girl’s family agreed to the last rites. Regarding the matter, Uttarkashi SP Aparna Yaduvanshi says that the matter will be investigated thoroughly.

Home stay owner and servant in police custody
The police have taken the home stay owner and servant into custody. The family members have alleged that the owner and servant of the home stay informed the police about the incident.
