Uttarakhand: In Nainital Administration’s JCB runs on encroachment, illegally built shops removed from government land
The administration is continuing its encroachment removal campaign in Nainital. The administration today used bulldozers on 44 illegal shops built on Forest Department land in Rampur Road, Haldwani. Illegal shops were demolished under the leadership of City Magistrate Richa Singh.
Administration’s JCB thundered on encroachment
Let us tell you that the High Court had given five months time to vacate these shops built near Sushila Tiwari Hospital. After which today the administration along with the police force demolished 44 shops and removed the encroachment. During this time, along with heavy police force, the Forest Department team and the administration team were also present.
High Court had given notice
City Magistrate Richa Singh said that earlier too notices had been issued to remove all these shops. After this, they were given five months’ time by the High Court. After completion of the time period, after giving notice to vacate the shop within 24 hours, action has been taken today to remove the encroachment. The Forest Department had given this land on lease to HN Inter College.
