IND vs AUS 5th T20: India beats Australia by six runs, wins series 4-1

Yesterday was the last match of the ongoing five-match T20 series between India and Australia. In which India won the fifth T20 by six runs. With this victory, the Indian team won the series 4-1.

Won the first T20 match held in Visakhapatnam by two wickets and the second T20 match held in Thiruvananthapuram by 44 runs. Australia won the third T20 by five wickets. After which India came back and won the last two matches by 20 and six runs.

McDermott’s half century went in vain
In yesterday’s last T20 match, Australia captain Matthew Wade won the toss and decided to bowl. Batting first, India scored 160 runs losing eight wickets. In response to which Australia could score only 154 runs. Ben McDermott scored the highest score of 54 runs for Australia.

Where Travis Head 28, Matthew Wade 22, Tim David 17, Matthew Short 16, Aaron Hardy six and Josh Philip four returned to the pavilion. Mukesh Kumar took the most wickets (3) for India. Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi took one wicket each. So Akshar Patel got a success there.

Arshdeep bowled excellently in the last over
In the last over, Arshdeep Singh bowled brilliantly and saved 10 runs for the team. Due to which India won the match by six runs.

In the 20th over, Arshdeep almost ensured India’s victory by sending captain Matthew Wade to the pavilion. No runs were scored on the first and second balls. Arshdeep dismissed Mathew on the third ball. One run came on the fourth, fifth and sixth balls. Due to which India won this match by 10 runs.

Shreyas Iyer played a brilliant innings
The Indian team, who came to bat first, had a very bad start. India had lost two wickets in the power play itself. Where Yashasvi Jaiswal (21) and Rituraj Gaikwad (10) were out. After this, the Australian bowler also showed the way to the pavilion to captain Suryakumar Yadav.

After which aggressive batsman Rinku Singh also got out after scoring one run. Jitesh Sharma also got out after scoring 24 runs. In such a situation, Shreyas Iyer and Akshar Patel handled the innings. Shreyas Iyer batted brilliantly and played an inning of 53 runs. So Akshar was out after scoring 31 runs. Because of both, the team’s score reached 160 runs.
