BJP MP Diya Kumari is also considered a contender for the post of CM. She won from Vighadhar Nagar seat on BJP ticket. In Diya, he defeated Sitaram Agarwal of Congress by a margin of 71,368 votes. Vighadhar Nagar constituency falls in Jaipur district of Rajasthan. Diya Kumari is the granddaughter of Man Singh II, the last ruler of the princely state of Jaipur.

Names of CP Joshi, Gajendra Shekhawat also put forward
CP Joshi, a two-time Lok Sabha member from Chittorgarh since 2014, is currently the head of the state unit of BJP. He is also being seen in the race for the post of CM. Apart from this, Lok Sabha MP from Jodhpur and Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Shekhawat is also considered a strong contender for the post of Chief Minister.
