After the defeat, INDIA advised Congress, Rahul should contest elections from UP
After the defeat of Congress in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, the parties included in the India Alliance are raising questions on it. Leaders included in the India Alliance say that Rahul Gandhi has become active in South India after losing the elections in UP. Due to this, Congress’s hold has started weakening in the Hindi belt. CPM leader MV Govindan, who is part of this alliance, has raised questions on Rahul Gandhi contesting elections from Wayanad. He said that there is no BJP in Kerala. Rahul Gandhi should contest elections against BJP and not against LDF.
What did the CPA leader say?
The CPA leader said that any person with common sense would understand that Rahul Gandhi should not contest the next elections from Wayanad. This will weaken the hold of the Congress party in the Hindi belt. He said that if Rahul Gandhi contests elections from Kerala, it will indicate that Rahul wants to contest elections not against BJP but against the left parties. Let us tell you that Rahul Gandhi had contested elections from Wayanad in 2019. He had won this seat with a record number of votes.
Many parties attacked Congress
At the same time, after the results of assembly elections in 5 states, many parties including CPM have attacked Congress. Govindan says that Muslim League has supported Congress in Kerala. Without their support, Congress cannot do anything, that is why it has come to Kerala. From this it seems that Congress does not have that much influence in Hindi speaking states.
