“Hujoor! Save my father, they will kill him in Banda jail”, Mukhtar Ansari’s son appealed to the Supreme Court.

There was a time when people in Purvanchal, Uttar Pradesh used to tremble at the name of Mukhtar Ansari. The entire administration used to bow down. There is a time when Mukhtar Ansari is afraid of his life. He feels his life in danger all the time. In such a situation, he has pleaded before the judge in the court several times that he may be murdered in jail. He is unable to understand anything because of fear. This time Mukhtar’s son Omar Ansari has appealed to the Supreme Court for the safety of his father’s life.

UP police can kill my father any time

Mukhtar Ansari’s son has claimed that his father’s life is in danger. He has filed a petition in the Supreme Court and has said that at present his father is lodged in Banda jail and his life is in danger in the jail. Therefore, his father should be removed from Banda jail of UP and shifted to some other jail. Omar Ansari has said that his father is associated with a political party which opposes the current government ‘politically and ideologically’. In such a situation, UP Police can get his father killed by hired killers. A conspiracy to murder his father is going on in full swing and he and his family members have become aware of this. They do not trust the government and administration at all. Along with this, Mukhtar’s son has accused the government of harassing his family.

Demanded to transfer father to another jail

In the petition, Mukhtar’s son has requested the top court to direct his father to be transferred from Banda jail to a jail in a non-BJP ruled state. The petition also requests that Mukhtar Ansari be produced before the courts only through video conferencing.
